CLINICAL PERSPECTIVE

Individual surgical planning

Contouring of the calves with implants or other selected methods.

We discuss anatomy, indications, alternatives, limitations, scars, anaesthesia and recovery. Website information does not replace individual assessment.

Planning your procedure

Assessment covers baseline asymmetry, muscle contours and soft-tissue coverage. With implants, discuss displacement, visible or palpable edges, infection, sensation changes and possible revision.

Recovery and follow-up

Planning covers wound care, gradual activity, thrombosis prevention when indicated and compression garments when needed. Work, exercise and travel are discussed separately.

Procedure considerations and risks

Anaesthesia, bleeding, infection and wound healing are also discussed for any surgery. Your individual risks and alternatives are reviewed during consultation.

Questions to discuss

  1. What would you like to change?
  2. What features would you like to preserve?
  3. Which risks and limitations matter most to you?

Your surgical plan, expected changes and recovery steps are agreed with you during consultation.

Prepared by Dr. Mismil Muradov, plastic and reconstructive surgeon. The surgical plan is determined during consultation. Training and qualifications →
